Double click on ‘My
Computer’ on your desktop.
Then Double click on ‘Dial-up Networking’.
Double click on ‘Make New Connection’.
Type in ‘Netstar or NOL’ for the name of the
computer you
are trying to dial. New customer will use Netstar
and existing NOL customers will continue to use NOL.
Click Next.
DO NOT put anything in area code.
In Telephone Number, type in local number from
our list and make sure that the country code is set
to “America (1)”.
Click Next.
Click on Finish
Now RIGHT CLICK on the ‘Netstar/NOL’ icon.
Left click on ‘Create Shortcut’
Click on the YES box that comes up.
RIGHT CLICK on ‘Netstar’ again
This time left click on ‘Properties’
Uncheck the “Use Area code and Dialing
Properties” box
Click on the ‘Server Types’ Tab next to the
‘General’ Tab.
The only boxes that you need checked in the boxes
are
1.ENABLE SOFTWARE COMPRESSION
2.TCP/IP
Any other boxes that are checked, please UNCHECK.
Click on ‘OK’
