| Taceo's Remote Laptop Security Feature |
Remote Laptop Security If your laptop or computer is stolen, you can log-in to your account from another computer and remotely deny access to all files secured with Taceo that are stored on your laptop or computer. Taceo performs regular authentication checks to ensure the identity of the Taceo user, and requires security login if a laptop is offline before allowing access to files secured by Taceo (ECCs). If disconnected from the Internet , a user must provide their login information in order to access Taceo, otherwise access is denied. If they do connect to the internet but the rightful user has deactivated the connection to that laptop, access is also denied.
Companies may also use the Remote Laptop Security feature to deny access to email and files by employees who have been (or will be) terminated.
Using the login information chosen during registration, the user should access their Taceo Account via the Essential Security Software website. By selecting Alias Manager the user is shown the computer that is associated with the email address designated for their Taceo Account. When Deactivate is clicked, this association is broken.
For additional information on Taceo's Remote Laptop Security feature, visit the Essential Security Software website - www.essentialsecurity.com.
